First Canadian in space. Navy captain and electrical engineer who flew three Shuttle missions. Later served as Member of Parliament and Minister of Transport.
Before NASARoyal Canadian Navy combat-systems engineering officer who served at sea on HMCS Algonquin before being selected in Canada's first astronaut group in 1983.
